Nicotine gum linked to heart and cardiovascular problems in unborn babies

Researches have found a direct link between nicotine gum and the damage to new developing blood vessels in unborn babies.

Amercian scientistis have revealed that nicotine damages the caridovascular blood vessels in unborn babies and can lead to high blood pressure and heart problems in later life.

British studies have also confirmed these findings pertaining to high blood pressure in new born babies increasing their risk in later life.

Interestingly, nicotine gum and patches use to carry warnings advising not be consumed by pregnant women along with lung, heart and kidneys problems.

However, In 2006 the Government removed all warnings claiming the advantages of treatment in helping mothers stop smoking far outweighes their risk.
